Invisalign offers the ability to align your teeth without using brackets and wires, and Invisalign Complete is the most popular option because it corrects a wide variety of orthodontic issues, including spacing, crowding, and bite problems.
Because this treatment is for patients who have more serious cases that take longer to fix, it can take 7 to 28 months to go through the entire process. Even though it is the Invisalign option that takes the longest to complete, it barely disrupts your lifestyle and doesn’t limit what you can eat. The aligners must be worn day and night but are removed when you eat and brush your teeth.
Invisalign Complete is available for anyone who wants to get braces to straighten their teeth but doesn’t want the bulky, traditional, metal brackets stuck on their teeth. Invisalign allows for more discreet treatment. Invisalign Complete does not limit the number of aligners you will have to use, so your orthodontic problems can be steadily changed. We will order as many aligners as needed to ensure you have plenty of treatment time to get the spectacular smile you’ve always wanted.
If you have less serious orthodontic problems, like small gaps or crooked teeth, and only need slight orthodontic adjustments, Invisalign Lite might be the better option for you.
After meeting with Dr. Rahaim to determine the best course of action for your orthodontic treatment, you will get X-rays and virtual modeling of your mouth. These help your doctor calculate how extensive and long your treatment will be. This plan also determines the number of aligners you will need to straighten your teeth. Aligners are made to adjust the position of each tooth incrementally until they are all where they should be. They do this by putting pressure on specific teeth to straighten them.
You wear each set of aligners for a period of two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink hot liquids, or brush and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to their final positions. You’ll visit us about once every 2 to 4 months to ensure your treatment is progressing as planned.
This process is gradual, and with Invisalign Complete, can take anywhere from 7 to 28 months. During this time, you are barely limited in what you can eat, so your lifestyle doesn’t have to change. Please see our other options: Invisalign Express, which is 6 months or less of treatment, and Invisalign Lite, which is 12 months or less of treatment.
